Weekly Menus (Finally with Content!)

I've been thinking a lot about how to do the Weekly Menus and the best way I've come up with is to list each menu by week with either a brief explanation or link to a recipe below as I make dinner each night

And do me a favor - if you have meal ideas leave a comment! If you want to do a recipe post, I'll totally post it on here (and credit you of course!)

July 15 - 21

Monday July 15 - Hash browns and sausage (I said we were eating in - not eating healthy per se lol)

This was super easy. Simply Potato Hashbrowns (got them free when I bought something last week @HEB) and smoked sausage which I cooked and drained. Took about 15 minutes. Not healthy though. Not pretending this one is healthy at all. Sure was tasty though!
Tuesday July 16 - Pasta Carbonara and Spinach Salad
Wednesday July 17 - Lemon and Seasame Chicken
Thursday July 18 - Paninis and Roast Potatoes
Friday July 19 - Pizza Night!
Saturday July 20 - Dinner w/ Mom
Sunday July 21 - Chicken Souvlaki

July 8 -14

Monday July 8 -
Tuesday July 9 -
Wednesday July 10 - Three Cheese Lasagna
3 Cheese Lasagna
Thursday July 11 -  Ginger Chicken Stir-fry
Ginger Chicken Stir Fry

Friday July 12 - Leftover Lasagna
Saturday July 13 -  Delicious BBQ courtesy of the Schneiders'
Sunday July 14 - Food around the house. Everyone had lots to do - we raided our frozen food stores!

July 1-7

Monday July 1 - Breakfast for Dinner! Waffles, Strawberries, and Sausage Links

Jimmy Dean sausage links, Bisquick waffles in our waffle maker, and fresh strawberries.
Tuesday July 2 - Chicken Teriyaki, White Rice, and Green Beans

Semi From Scratch Chicken Teriyaki
Wednesday July 3 - Pesto Tortellini and Spinach Salad

No pic - but I just used pre-made Buitoni 3 cheese tortellini and pesto. I like to quickly crisp up my tortellini in a saute pan with a little olive oil to stop it being soggy. Then I add the pesto.

Thursday July 4 - BBQ at Mom's - (bringing Key Lime Pie and possibly Raspberry Cheesecake Brownies if I don't make/eat them before then)

Friday July 5 - Lasagna and Spinach Salad

Saturday July 6 - Democratic Pizza Night (where everyone gets their own toppings)

Sunday July 7 - Eye of the Round, Loaded Baked Potatoes, Green Beans. Hopefully I can share some ideas for what to make for dinner!

Recipe coming soon!

  1. I have the easiest recipe for you, thanks to Amanda Taylor. Go to HEB and get a boneless pork shoulder butt and in the Cooking Connection and pick up the HEB brand Green Chili Stew Pic here: http://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/2/9/2/3/6/ar129395981963292.JPG

In a crock pot: put the pork shoulder in, cover with 1/2 the jar of stew. Cook on low for 8 hours.

    DONE.

Bonus recipe: Use the leftovers for pork quesadillas. Tortilla, monterrey jack cheese, & pork. YUMM-O!

    Enjoy :)
