Claim Your Country (or State)! (If your'e not a bot that is)

Today I hit 1,000 blog views. I'm pretty stoked about this. I'm also pretty sure a very healthy chunk of that traffic is coming from spambots, but whatever - spambots need love too.

I wouldn't hate spambots if they were this cute
Writing this blog, while silly, has been really awesome. It's giving me a reason to try new things in the kitchen and keep the writing skills fresh...and it provides a good bit of amusement when I check the stats and see all the foreign countries that are trolling me.

Now its not that I don't think I have anything in common with people in Indonesia, I'm just fairly skeptical that they are reading about some random chick's recipe for brownies...

Holy crap! Indonesia is gorgeous. Look, if you aren't a spam bot, say hello and lets be best friends and I'll come visit you...
Annnyhow... I do have several friends living abroad so its perfectly reasonable that some of the international traffic is coming from real people. And also Blogger won't tell me which U.S. States are visiting and I'm kind of OCD and like knowing that stuff for fun. (You're talking about a person who, as a 10 year old girl, used to copy country statistics from the encyclopedia into a little notebook so I could be prepared when I traveled there)

So here's my request - just for kicks - leave your state or country in the comments below. You don't have to leave your name or city or anything - maybe just the state or country. I allow anonymous comments because I really hate when you have to register to add your 2 cents.

In the meantime here is my dorky list of countries who've visited the blog:
  1. Argentina
  2. Australia
  3. Austria
  4. Brazil
  5. Canada
  6. Chile
